LONG FOCUS CYCLE CAMERA

Bullard Camera Company, Springfield, Massachusetts         1899-1901

Bullard Long Focus Cycle Camera in 6-1/2 x 8-1/2 with a Rauber & Wollensak Automatic Shutter having a 6-1/2 x 8-1/2 Instant Symmetrical lens.

The camera is equipped with a triple extension bed, that unlike the mechanisms typically found on other cameras which controlled both track levels via a single knob on the bed, the knob on this Bullard only controls the lower track.  The upper tract is extended and retracted manually, being secured by a wing nut located at the base of the track.

Aside from the lens board's rise and fall, a push-button release is incorporated on both sides of the camera body.  When depressed, the back could then separate and swing, further extending the camera's range.

All Bullard Camera Company products are scarce today and some nearly impossible to find.  The Long Focus Cycle is rarely seen, and almost never in the larger format sizes.
